| THE CAR THAT CAUSED SO MUCH TROUBLE |

For example: When I purchased my 1977 Excalibur automobile, my fellow White police officers became “white hot” angry and envious. The black officers whom I recruited also became envious. The White community became angry and jealous collectively. It made such an emotional hit on them that the local newspaper printed this in the news. There is another emotion played out by Black people. Generally, they also begin to express whatever feeling the white community postures. For example: a Black woman who was on the Mayor’s Civil Rights Commission demanded that the Civil Rights Commission take some type of action against me. Once I moved to California in exile, it proved no different as it relates to the American psyche. I was fired from a number of jobs until I was able to purchase and old beater. Although I tried my best to park the Excalibur far enough from the workplace, and just proceed to walk, that too failed, as someone would invariably see me and a few days later I would be fired. |
It is truly amazing what is played out psychology in America as it relates to the type of car a person chooses to purchase. |
